In the end, what looked like a disturbing mystery turned out to be a surprisingly ordinary explanation.
It wasn’t dangerous.
It wasn’t supernatural.
It wasn’t evidence of some hidden household problem.
It was simply the latest contribution from our very enthusiastic feline hunter.
Of course, that didn’t make the discovery any less unpleasant.
Finding unexpected animal remains on your bathroom floor is still enough to ruin anyone’s appetite.
But at least we finally had an answer.
And our cat?
He seemed extremely pleased with himself the entire time.
