3. Extreme Fatigue

Because amlodipine lowers blood pressure, it can sometimes cause dizziness, especially when standing up quickly. Frequent dizziness could increase the risk of falls and should be discussed with a doctor.

Although amlodipine is used to treat chest pain, some people may experience new or worsening chest pain, especially when starting the medication or increasing the dose.
